Purpose...
This role is to act as a strategic and technical liaison between business stakeholders, vendor partners, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of insurance technology solutions. This position is responsible for translating business needs into effective technical designs, managing solution releases, and ensuring quality through rigorous testing and process oversight. By leveraging deep industry expertise and strong analytical skills, this role drives operational efficiency, supports complex workflows, and ensures seamless integration of systems and processes.
What you will do...
Support the technical leads with our vendor partners to ensure the technical design meets the business needs.
Provide technical assistance to internal staff by diagnosing reported issues, providing guidance, and/or escalating to development teams when necessary
Lead activities for managing releases, including backlog prioritization, capacity planning, and co-ordination of appropriate business signoffs/approvals
Quality Assurance testing of implementations including the creation of the test strategy and test cases, execution of the testing plan, and defect management.
Project management by coordinating meetings, tracking project progress, providing status updates and communications to project stakeholders.
Provide a process for monitoring changes once implemented.
What you will bring...
Proven ability to create and deliver insurance solutions, specifically with Underwriting workflows and rules; complex rating, coverage, and limit scenarios; policy change transactions; renewals; and cancellations
Critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, investigate issues, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions, and proactively propose solutions.
Experience and perseverance with complex problems, products, and/or integrations
Process Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Project Management skills and knowledge
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
5-10 years’ experience within a Senior Business Analyst and/or Project Lead role
5-10 years’ experience working in the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry in any of the following capacities: Broker/Agent, Underwriting, Claims or Finance.
Guidewire Policy Center Certification is an asset.
Proficiency in Guidewire development languages (GOSU, Java) is an asset.
