Reporting to the Manager, Diagnostic Imaging Services, the Cardiology Technician will provide accurate electrocardiogram (ECG) and Holter monitor services to both inpatients and outpatients as required by the medical staff while maintaining hospital standards within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. The technician will perform diagnostic cardiac procedures and clerical work associated with the diagnostic imaging services and will assist and support the efforts of the Diagnostic Imaging team by providing the following services: coordinate and communicate diagnostic appointments with patients, emergency department, in-patient ward, clinics, and communities across the region and at times the territory. The incumbent will assist in the basic quality assurance and maintenance of the equipment and will promote a safe work environment for both patients and staff. The position will provide support for the Diagnostic imaging in the day-to-day operations of the department.
