Position Summary:

With the functional support, guidance and supervision provided by the Program Manager, NESHW, the Covenant Living Operational Readiness Lead carries out services as outlined by the Covenant Living Policies and Procedures in all Alberta locations.
The Operational Readiness Lead combines a passion for innovation with practical experience in home and community support services, building on Covenant’s unique opportunity to be a change and innovation leader in this area. They will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of the Covenant Living Model is in alignment with Covenant’s mission, vision, and values, innovative best practices and standards of the respective settings. This position champions innovative, leading-edge program planning, monitors program performance and creates a culture that encourages innovation, supports change and drives for continuous quality improvement.
This position will:
Model the organizations mission, vision, and values, consistently representing Covenant professionally and positively.
Collaborate effectively as a professional team plater, supporting the achievement of Covenant’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Engage and mobilize teams to fulfill Covenant’s Mission, Vision, Values, and strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Post-secondary education (degree) in health and/or community care or support services
Minimum five (5) years in leadership/management capacity
Strong working knowledge of provincial home and community care
Demonstrated leadership and general management skills
Skilled in strategic/tactical thinking and problem solving
Ability to effectively present information, expectations, ideas, and concepts to a variety of audiences
Strong ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders who can influence the development of policy and service delivery and to work collaboratively and effectively with others to achieve results
Experience with leading projects through planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation
Ability to multitask and lead a number of different projects
Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and adhere to short timelines
Capable of functioning in an environment of complexity and change
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Ability to travel between sites and across the province
Preferred Requirements:
Post-graduate education in healthcare or business-related field
Certification as a Project Manager, or PMI
Certification in Change Management, or PROSCI
Extensive experience and commitment to excellence I home and community care or support services
Knowledge of provincial seniors’ health and wellness systems
Grant writing and reporting experience
Business development experience
Working in multidisciplinary environment which includes team members involved in research and quality improvement activities

This is a temporary, full-time position for approximately one (1) year.
