Hours:
Monday to Friday, 3:00pm to 12:00am.
Compensation:
$25.50, plus $3.00 shift premium per hour.

Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined DZ Driver – Truck Transfer and Maintenance Helper to support our Maintenance Teams at both our Ottawa East and West yards. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for transporting fleet vehicles between locations, assisting with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and ensuring technicians have timely access to trucks and essential equipment. Your contribution will directly support the efficiency and success of our fleet operations.
Responsibilities:
In the position of DZ Driver Truck Transfer and Maintenance Helper. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
The transfer of all Company vehicles to and from various locations.
Will be required to do minor repair and road test equipment, as per shop needs.
Will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
Conduct on-road delivering of goods, parts, equipment pick up and drop off, as required.
Competencies & Qualifications:
Must have at least a valid 'DZ' Driver’s Licence.
Successful candidates must be mechanically inclined.
Must be able to help with residential and commercial collections, when needed.
You will have ability to showcase your knowledge, as well as experience in repairing equipment systems.
Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key, as well as working in a team environment.
You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
