About the Nutrition Team
Our Nutrition Team is responsible for maintaining the depth, accuracy, and reliability of our nutrition database. We set the industry standard for comprehensive and precise nutrition information, going beyond simple calorie tracking to include detailed macro and micronutrient data.
Every week, our team directly supports thousands of users, ensuring they have the data they need to manage their diet, health conditions, and wellness goals.
Position: Nutrition Researcher
We are seeking a Nutrition Researcher with a background in nutrition, food science, or a related field to join our team. This role supports both the scientific foundations of our food composition database and our broader nutrition-focused product initiatives. You will apply evidence-based research, data analysis, and clear communicaton skills to help ensure that Cronometer provides accurate and meaningful nutrition information to our users.
What You’ll Do
Support and expand our food composition database through research, data validation, and documentation.
Evaluate and interpret nutrition science to help maintain accurate nutrient targets and guidelines.
Translate scientific concepts into clear, user-friendly information for product features and customer education.
Collaborate across teams to support nutrition-focused product development and continuous improvement.
Use data tools and explore emerging technologies to enhance workflows and data quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Biochemistry, or related field.
Strong written communication skills, including ability to translate scientific findings clearly and accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage and document complex data.
Experience with recipe development, nutrient analysis, or consumer-oriented nutrition education.
Experience with data analytics tools or statistical methods is an asset.
Interest or experience in AI/ML-assisted workflows is a plus.

Base annual salary range: $60,000-80,000 + employee bonus program
