Location & Travel
This is a remote position. Candidates must be available to travel for in-person events.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 4–7 trips per year to cities such as Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary.
Salary Range: $62,000 - $65,000

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As a key member of our Events & Awards team, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless event execution and award program excellence. In this Senior Associate role, you’ll take ownership of critical operational areas, ensuring every detail is managed with precision and creativity.
Event Logistics & Management
Act as the primary liaison with venues and partners, overseeing all logistics including scheduling, accommodations, and catering.
Coordinate speaker and vendor engagement—sending invitations, gathering assets, scheduling briefs, and managing payments.
Execute sponsor contracts and deliverables, ensuring flawless integration on event day.
Manage registration systems, monitor ticket sales, and provide exceptional attendee support.
Maintain and update event websites and apps, track performance metrics, and generate reports.
Direct onsite logistics and collaborate with marketing teams to deliver creative assets and execute promotional strategies.
Awards Program Management
Oversee end-to-end award programs, providing timely updates and status reports to internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with judges and award recipients, ensuring smooth logistics and communications.
Coordinate accommodations, briefings, and schedules for award honorees.
Conduct research and outreach to potential candidates and nominees to drive program participation.
General Support & Strategy
Provide cross-departmental support for events and related initiatives.
Prepare and ship event materials, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
Research and propose innovative ideas to differentiate CCIB’s events and awards in the marketplace.
WHAT YOU BRING

Must-Haves
Experience and Technical Skills:
5-7 years of relevant experience in event planning, management, or a related field.
Proficiency with WordPress for website updates and maintenance.
Experience managing complex registration systems and strong overall tech aptitude to learn new platforms.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail for complex logistical planning.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with proven customer service experience.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude in high-stress situations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during event setup and execution.
Nice-to-Haves
Close proximity to Toronto or ability to travel to Toronto to help with pre-event organization, if needed.
Familiarity with Indigenous business and Indigenous relations.
Bilingual in English and French.
