Simon & Schuster Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant for a 14-month contract to support our Sales team during an exciting period of growth. This role provides vital administrative and operational support across the department and plays a key part in helping us deliver exceptional service to our client publishers and retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Sales team.
Assist with sales reporting and data management
Support the team with overflow communications, including responding to client publisher emails and tracking follow-ups
Contribute to sales materials and preparation for title pitches, ensuring information is accurate, current, and compelling
Support and help the sales team prepare for key presentations, both internal and external
Coordinate internal processes and timelines to help the team stay organized and on track
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth execution of sales initiatives
Participate in special projects and provide general departmental support as needed
About You
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Outlook); experience with sales reporting tools is an asset
Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative when priorities shift
A passion for publishing, books, and supporting creative teams is a plus
