Position Title: Inside Sales Associate – Bilingual (French/English)
Reports To: Director, Distribution Strategy, Planning and Support
Department: Individual Wealth
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Ottawa/Atlantic Canada
Work Arrangements: You will work from your home office 100% of the time. You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location within the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales related roles may be required to travel based on the assignment.
What you will be doing:
Conduct sales and provide support for new business for key advisors
Generate leads and create new contacts and relationships
Create advisor loyalty and trust via constant communication
Build and promote product knowledge via webinars
Respond to product related inquiries
Act a point of contact for Equitable partners
Create specialized and monthly status reports
Occasional travel may be required
What you will bring:
Bilingual skills in French and English are required
Relevant experience in the financial industry with a solid understanding of investment products
Demonstrated analytical, time-management, problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
Proven communication skills, including active listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated presentation and training skills
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities
Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. With the ability to learn and apply new system applications (including BMS and web portals).
Bilingual Mandarin is considered an asset
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours as required.
