Reporting to the project manager
Involvement in some or all of the following aspects of Mechanical Contracting – Planning, Safety, Construction, Quality and Commercial Issues.
Adherence to and promotion of company safety and quality policies
Onsite co-ordination between Mechanical and other Disciplines.
Resolving engineering queries in the field
Responsible for/manage the MSL team of area engineers, who manage specific construction areas on the project
Prioritising off-site pipe and pipe design fabrication to follow construction schedule
You will work with MSL Construction Manager to monitor the construction schedule and reporting directly to MSL Project Manager
Weekly Progress reporting to client and MSL Project Manager (MSL template)
Supervising site based Project Engineers
Weekly progress reporting to client and MSL Project Manager (MSL Template), co-ordinate Area Engineers progress reporting per area to support this.
Weekly Variation reporting (Gathering this info from the area engineers to give it to MSL Cost engineer)
Familiarise with scope of MSL contract to monitor potential variation work on site
Ensure MSL supply equipment is ordered as required
Onsite co-ordination between Consultant and Contractor.
Co-ordination of project activity in conjunction with the offsite fabrication team.
Attend weekly progress meetings and contribute as the Project teams Engineering function lead
Safety audits and monitoring safety performance on site
Working with MSL QA lead to ensure piping systems are handover to client on schedule
Minimum 7 years Mechanical Engineering experience with at least two years in a lead role
Excellent knowledge of piping isometrics and P&IDs is essential.

Experience working on mechanical construction projects in relevant industry sectors essential (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semi-conductor or Oil & Gas)
Experience working for a mechanical contractor, as opposed to Consulting AE firms or Client side, a distinct advantage.
Experience working on the construction stage of projects, as opposed to design stage, essential; including but not limited to piping fabrication, piping installation, pressure testing, equipment installation.
Proficient in the use of Navis Works or equivalent packages
Strong Communicator, written and verbal.
Diligent, has a high level of attention to detail, and sets a high standard of quality for themselves and others.
Personable, and a team player.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Hard working and able to work in fast paced work environment.
