Job Description
How You’ll Make an Impact:
The Multi-Unit Retail Food Service Manager oversees the daily operations and strategic direction of multiple retail and concession outlets within the healthcare site. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and team leadership while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The manager collaborates closely with culinary and operations teams to develop innovative retail programs, implement quality and safety standards, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
As a Multi-Unit Retail Food Service Manager, you will:
Coordinate and direct all retail and concession operations for the site.
Oversee daily operations, including collaboration with the Executive Chef on menus and promotions, purchasing and ordering, inventory, and scheduling.
Manage financial performance for the retail program, including labour and food costs, inventory, equipment, and materials.
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate supervisors to ensure productivity, engagement, and effective use of team member capabilities.
Achieve annual retail objectives and key performance targets.
Maintain operational standards and lead continuous quality improvements.
Support the marketing and promotion of the retail program.
Conduct regular analysis of retail performance, identifying efficiencies and opportunities for growth.
Ensure compliance with all Company and Client standards as well as Provincial/Federal legislation.
Uphold all Food Safety and Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy retail environment In a management role
Ability not only to lead the team to deliver on an innovative and high quality retail program, including branded concepts, but also to lead and inspire your team to look for ways to improve on what we already do to ensure we are exceeding the students’ expectations.
Experience in running and evaluating successful promotions
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, team-centric and safety driven environment
Proven organizational skills and strong computer/technology capabilities including Microsoft Office use and Social Media
Proven cash handling experience
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers, clients and staff
Ability to work, problem solve and provide solutions independently
Genuine desire to provide customer service experiences beyond expectations
A passion for food, people and service excellence
A genuine desire to grow and learn
