Job Description: The Raw Material Receiver associate supports site Q&FS in ensuring the quality of inbound raw materials by performing reception activities such as inspection, quality control, analytic testing, and material reception operations. This position requires participation in a shift rotation, with scheduled hours ranging from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. What are we looking for? Education & Professional Qualifications: Certification, Diploma, Bachelor in science or Laboratory experience Knowledge / Experience: Previous experience as RM receiver at Royal Canin preferred Previous experience in food / feed plant. Optimally experienced in an RM receiving laboratory Experience in quality assurance laboratory High data entry accuracy and strong attention to detail required (Critical) Strong computer literacy/ Ability to adapt and learn new systems Good communication skills/ Previous demonstrated customer service experience or equivalent experience Technically inclined Self-motivated, Team player Operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-moving consumer goods environment Color discrimination, Odor sensitive and texture perception, Depth perception, Safety & Hygiene & Quality conscious Physical/ Environmental Requirements: Unrestricted range of motion Comfortable working at heights Standing on a concrete floor, extensive walking Frequent climbing of stairs Lifting (25kg) maximum Wearing proper personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform) Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting Must be able to adapt to temperature and tolerate environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt and chemicals What will be your key responsibilities? Collaborate with raw material supply coordinator on inbound receiving scheduling priority Offload raw materials from trucks (bulks -liquids, grains/cereals, meals…, big bags, bags) (including adding of chemicals like insecticide or antioxidant as required by quality specifications) Accurately maintain WMS (Warehouse Management System) Immediately report any stock discrepancies Day to day use of forklifts to offload and store raw materials in warehouse Laboratory instrument calibrations, verifications and record keeping Perform area-related equipment first level maintenance Perform inventory of raw ingredients in bins, silos and racks (cyclical and period end inventories) Detect and report raw material quality problems Advise raw material supply coordinator of late or missing raw material deliveries Customer service with inbound delivery companies Prepare samples and documentation for external labs Preparation of finished products to ensure quality control (micro sampling) Accurate submission of products to offsite/external laboratory Must adhere to all environmental, health & safety procedures Any task as delegated by Manager What can you expect from Mars?
