We are looking for Lead CYCWs in Edmonton area, to set up youth for success by nurturing their physical, social, cultural, and emotional well-being. As your Program Supervisor's right hand, you will showcase core values in everything you do. With your superb Service Excellence and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) skills, you will be a clear role model for CYCWs in day in and day out.
Set Schedule Rotation
3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, 6 days on 3 days off
One opening of 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday to Friday

Your Day as a Lead CYCW
Provide daily updates to Program Supervisor and Manager
Report critical incidents to Program Supervisor
Support your youth in planning and reaching goals
Maintain daily activities, observations, and direct hours of service records
Compile data for Case Team meetings/stakeholder reporting to submit to Program Supervisor
Support program planning (recreation, life skills, cultural and community connections)
Attend legal appointments and required follow-up
Support the ongoing development of care plans
Audit first aid supplies monthly and submit inventory list to Program Supervisor
Create menus, track inventory, and maintain weekly shopping/grocery lists
Build relationships with your youth to guide and support them through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
Facilitate and coordinate school, employment, and volunteering activities
Book and attend medical appointments (dental, optical, and psychiatry)

What You Bring to a Lead Role
Minimum 1 year verifiable experience working directly with youth that have complex behavioural and mental health needs
In-depth knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness, SE, TCI, and home care best practices
Flawless execution of documentation requirements for maintaining records and completing forms
Unmatched written and verbal communication skills
Completion of a post secondary degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work (preferred)
Must have passed and completed TCI session #2
Must be fully compliant with required employee documentation on file
Class 5 driver's license
10-year Alberta drivers abstract
Alberta auto insurance with $2-million liability
Standard first aid with CPR level C + AED (two day in person or blended training course)
IRC
VSC
Must be fully up to date on required annual TCI and SE training (no outstanding courses uncompleted)
Must own a reliable 4-door vehicle for transporting clients
Mental health first aid and/or suicide prevention training are assets
