Why You’ll Love This Role You’ll be part of a high-impact team driving the future of secure embedded systems. In this role, you’ll embed security seamlessly into development pipelines to accelerate delivery without compromising safety. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and security experts to champion a DevSecOps-first culture, while working with cutting-edge optical and photonic technologies that shape products used around the world. You’ll also have the freedom to experiment with automation, AI-assisted tools, and emerging security frameworks, all within a collaborative environment that values innovation, learning, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for embedded software projects Integrate automated security testing (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, container scanning) into the development lifecycle Establish and enforce best practices for secrets management, credential rotation, and access control Collaborate with software, QA, and IT security teams to drive DevSecOps culture and security by design Monitor, detect, and remediate vulnerabilities across build and deployment environments Support compliance initiatives and maintain documentation related to security policies and standards Contribute to automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks. What We’re Looking For Education: Degree in technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, optics or semiconductors Experience: The ideal candidate will have: 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or DevSecOps roles within embedded or software development environments. 3+ years of experience implementing secure CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security principles, including: Secure coding practices Identity and access management (IAM) Vulnerability management and remediation Cryptography (asymmetric encryption, digital signatures, certificates) Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell). Solid understanding of Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Linux, and Virtualization. Knowledge of security scanning and monitoring tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, or OWASP ZAP. Nice to Have Experience with C, C++, or C# in secure software development. Familiarity with Cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot).
