Role description:
Director, Global Accounting Policy
What you will do:
Reporting to the AVP, Corporate Financial Reporting, the Director, Global Accounting Policy will:
Develop, enhance, and enforce global accounting policies under IFRS and other regulatory frameworks
Research and analyze technical accounting matters, including new accounting pronouncements and complex transactions, and advise senior management on recommended accounting solutions
Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes
Collaborate with segment and other global teams to support accounting analysis over potential and completed transactions
As part of the financial reporting team, review quarterly external disclosures to ensure accuracy of presentation and disclosure of financial information
Coach and mentor team members, developing them to be future leaders
What you will bring:
Deep understanding and extensive experience with IFRS
CPA designation is required
Proven expertise in technical accounting research
Strong organizational and project management skills to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Adequate knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting
Experience with coaching and leading teams
The base salary for this position is between $102,300 - $187,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
