You will balance hands-on product ownership with creating clear, high-quality documentation that inspires confidence—helping customers, internal teams, and prospects understand and apply our products with clarity and trust. **ALL CANDIDATES MUST SIT IN SASKATCHEWAN, CA.*** Job Description Key Responsibilities: Transparency & Knowledge Development (≈50%) Act as the primary content creator for HazardHub’s data, model, and API knowledge resources — exploring the product, asking questions, and uncovering insights that make complex concepts clear and usable. Collaborate with subject matter experts across engineering (APIs), data development, and data science to document data schemas, model logic, and integration workflows. Develop and maintain a clear information architecture for HazardHub’s data and model content, organizing it for both internal and external audiences. Create and update self-service reference materials that empowers employees, and external stakeholders to understand and apply HazardHub data independently. Produce structured content such as model explainability guides, change management white papers, data sheets, internal and external FAQs Partner closely with the Tech Pubs, Marketing, and Engineering teams to publish documentation through existing tools, workflows, and governance — ensuring consistency with Guidewire’s documentation standards. Continuously refine and validate content through SME feedback, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and alignment with evolving models and applications. Write occasional thought leadership content on natural hazards and climate change impacts, tied to our product portfolio Contribute to a unified, searchable knowledge ecosystem by transforming institutional knowledge into organized, accessible documentation that reflects HazardHub’s domain expertise. Contribute to internal style guides and documentation best practices. Product Management (≈50%) Serve as Product Owner for customer-facing API and application workflows — defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and priorities for feature enhancements. Collaborate with software engineers, data development, data science, and UX teams to define user stories and manage sprint execution. Drive feature development for applications and integrations that make data and models more transparent, accessible, and actionable. Partner with the Data & Model Product Manager to ensure model and dataset improvements are clearly surfaced through APIs and application interfaces. Validate product behavior against requirements, ensuring release readiness and a seamless handoff to documentation and customer-facing teams. Conduct lightweight customer discovery and feedback sessions to validate upcoming features and inform roadmap priorities. Qualifications: 3–5 years of Industry experience in product management, documentation, or API/data product enablement. Strong curiosity and learning mindset — comfortable exploring the product, testing APIs, and interviewing SMEs to uncover how things work. Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, engaging communication style Excellent writing, structuring, and storytelling skills; able to explain technical or scientific topics clearly and precisely. Passion for science, technology, or data-driven problem solving. Strong ability to organize complex information and define content structure and information architecture. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team. Self-starter who can manage time, organize tasks, and move projects forward with minimal supervision. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Technical Communication, English, Science, or Computer Science preferred. Familiarity with documentation tools such as Markdown, Git, or Confluence is helpful but not required. Detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on clarity, precision, and continuous learning. Preferred Experience: Interest or background in property and casualty insurance, environmental risk assessment, or geospatial data. Experience documenting APIs, software tools, or data products.
