The Opportunity
As Director, Content & Communications, you will be the strategic architect of Purpose’s voice and narrative. This is a leadership role at the intersection of brand storytelling, technology, and culture—responsible for shaping how we communicate with clients, partners, employees, and the broader market.
You will set a bold vision for content and communications that matches our ambition. Central to this role is embracing the power of AI to reimagine the content creation process. You will pioneer new ways of creating, scaling, and personalizing content through emerging technologies, while maintaining the authenticity, trust, and quality that defines our voice.
This is both a strategic and executional role: you will guide a team, collaborate across the business and business partners, and also be hands-on in exploring, experimenting, and delivering high-impact content with speed and precision.
What You’ll Do Here
Define and Elevate the Brand Communications
Lead the development of Purpose’s integrated content and communications strategy across all platforms: digital, media, social, events, and internal communication
Build a compelling, consistent voice that strengthens trust, drives engagement, and differentiates Purpose in the market
Strengthen Market Presence
Lead proactive and responsive communications that build resilience and protect reputation
Partner with executives and subject-matter experts to amplify their voices and ideas externally
Develop always-on, thought leadership, and campaign-based content for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
Build and Lead an Exceptional Team
Attract and develop top content and communications talent
Inspire a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning
Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, portfolio management, people & culture and senior leadership to align communications with business priorities
Champion AI-Enabled Content Innovation
Design and scale AI-driven content workflows that combine creativity with efficiency
Experiment with new tools, prompt strategies, and emerging technologies to push the boundaries of how we communicate
Establish governance to ensure all AI-enabled content maintains Purpose’s high standards for compliance, tone, and impact
What We’re Looking For
8+ years in content or communications leadership roles, ideally within financial services, fintech, or other fast-moving regulated industries
Proven experience building and executing high-impact content and communications strategies in scale-up or growth-stage environments
Demonstrated fluency with AI technologies—comfortable using prompts, exploring emerging tools, and applying them to communications challenges
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone across audiences and formats
Strong leadership, people development, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, driven by curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement
