The Manager of Insight and Innovation is responsible for uncovering and translating consumer and market intelligence into strategic direction for the business. This role leads the design and execution of research programs that explore consumer behavior, brand performance, and emerging trends in the alcohol beverage industry. By partnering with external agencies and internal teams, the manager ensures insights are not only rigorous but also relevant and actionable. They play a key role in shaping brand development through testing propositions, packaging, and health metrics, while also keeping a pulse on evolving market dynamics. With a collaborative mindset, the role bridges departments—ranging from Estates to B2B Sales—to embed consumer understanding across the organization and inform innovation at every level. This is a 12 month contract role.
This teammate will be responsible for -
Lead Consumer Research Initiatives
Oversee segmentation studies and voice-of-the-consumer programs.
Present insights internally and externally to guide strategic decisions.
Collaborate with research agencies to ensure relevance and rigor.
Drive Brand-Centric Research
Conduct packaging and proposition testing for new and existing brands.
Evaluate brand performance and consumer perception.
Translate findings into actionable recommendations for brand teams.
Monitor Alcohol Beverage Market Trends
Leverage external research to identify emerging category dynamics.
Partner with agencies to interpret market signals and consumer shifts.
Connect macro trends to brand and innovation opportunities.
Champion Brand Health Tracking
Measure brand equity and performance across key metrics.
Diagnose drivers of brand strength and areas for improvement.
Deliver insights that inform marketing strategy and investment.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Estates, B2B Sales, Owned Stores, and Bulk Wine teams.
Lead primary research efforts including email surveys and in-person estate interviews.
Ensure insights are shared and applied across departments
What this teammate will bring -
+5 Years experience and understanding across a breadth of consumer and brand marketing fundamentals
Analytical thinker with ability to simplify complex data into clear insights using tools like Qualtrics and Excel.
Skilled in consumer and brand research, including segmentation, brand health, and packaging testing.
Experienced cross-functional leader, managing teams across Estates, B2B, Owned Stores, and Bulk Wine.
Proven agency manager, leading creative, digital, event, and in-store projects with external partners.
Strong communicator and influencer, aligning stakeholders through clear, data-driven storytelling.
Highly adaptable and proactive, comfortable with evolving priorities and occasional evening/weekend work.
