The Associate, Strategic Innovation supports the development and execution of strategic innovation initiatives that drive brand growth and market relevance. This role contributes to brand creation, consumer research, and go-to-market planning, while coordinating cross-functional collaboration across key business units. The associate plays a key role in managing the innovation project review process, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring effective communication. Additionally, they provide support to the broader brand team through financial administration, overflow project execution, and alignment on initiatives that intersect with innovation.
What this teammate will be responsible for -
Support Innovation Execution
Assist in translating strategic direction into actionable tasks and timelines.
Coordinate project activities to ensure milestones are met.
Track progress and outcomes to support successful delivery.
Contribute to Brand Development and Launch
Help develop brand concepts in collaboration with internal teams and agencies.
Support go-to-market planning through preparation of launch materials.
Assist in internal pitching and stakeholder alignment for new products.
Assist in Research and Insight Generation
Conduct market, consumer, and competitive research to inform strategy.
Summarize key findings into clear, concise insights.
Contribute to recommendations that support brand and innovation decisions.
Coordinate Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Estates, B2B Sales, Owned Stores, and Bulk Wine teams on innovation projects.
Facilitate communication and alignment across departments.
Build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Manage Project Review Process
Create and maintain presentations for Project Management Review (PMR) meetings.
Own and update the master innovation project list.
Lead communication and coordination related to PMR deliverables.
Support Broader Brand Team Activities
Assist with financial administration and budget tracking.
Provide support on overflow tasks and ad hoc brand initiatives.
Help execute brand projects that intersect with innovation efforts.
What this teammate will bring -
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; additional coursework or certifications in consumer research or innovation are an asset.
Marketing & Commercialization Exposure: 1–3 years of experience in marketing or brand support roles, with exposure to product launches, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional collaboration
Strategic & Financial Awareness: Basic understanding of business strategy and financial principles; comfortable working with budgets and contributing to planning discussions.
Analytical & Insight Orientation: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and contribute to insight generation; familiarity with tools like Excel and Tableau preferred.
Creative & Industry Engagement: Experience supporting creative development and campaign execution; interest in the wine or beverage industry is a plus.
Collaboration & Communication: Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset; able to manage multiple priorities and build relationships across teams.
