Job Description Summary Design, prototyping, and validation of functional test systems by developing test hardware and fixtures, selecting components/equipment, and integrating and debugging Python/Linux-based software with Raspberry based hardware. Use measurement and debugging tools to verify test system’ performance, and create block diagrams, schematics, and user guides. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Assist in designing and developing Standard PCBA functional test solution Support hardware design and prototyping using microcontroller like Arduino, Raspberry PI, STM32 or similar platforms Engage in component and test equipment selection, sourcing and evaluation. Perform wiring, harnessing and assembly of hardware and test fixtures Work with test engineers to integrate test software and hardware, Use measurement and debugging tools to verify and validate functional test systems. Create block diagram, schematics and user guides. Required Qualifications Pursuing a diploma/degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering. Minimum two (2) years of experience with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or similar embedded platforms. Minimum two (2) years of experience with microelectronics: analog/digital circuits, ADC/DAC, power/signal conditioning. Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience designing and debugging real-world test systems. Eligibility Requirements Work 5 days a week onsite at the Markham, ON facility. Desired Qualifications Working knowledge and experience with Python, familiarity with C/C++ or other programming tools. Knowledge of electronics and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN). Basic understanding of control system blocks (e.g., sensors, actuators, feedback loops). Basic knowledge of software version control - GitHub. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and contribute to a hands-on environment Proactive approach to tasks and displays initiative. Flexible and adaptable: open for priority changes and multitasking Strong communication skills Self-motivated; can work well individually and as part of a team. This opportunity is for a period of 8 months and intended for current students who will be returning to in-class studies upon the completion of the work term.
