The Sr. Financial Analyst, Research P&A - Studies provides financial support to project teams for assigned research projects. The Senior Financial Analyst will assist the Sr. Advisors, Research P&A - Studies to support the project’s financial needs such as, but not limited to, financial analysis, accounts reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing and reporting.
- Post secondary degree in business/accounting.
- Professional designation (eg. CPA, CFA) or a relevant post-graduate degree (ie. MBA, Masters of Finance). (currently enrolled and/or close to completion), or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- 3-5 years’ of experience in financial reporting, including financial statements, audit support, reconciliations, GAAP/ IFRS/MIS, control framework etc.
- Well developed understanding of financial systems, internal controls, general business and financial concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience with both formal and informal presentations, board reporting, executive overviews and/or narratives.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills.
- Superior collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build relationships.
