We’re seeking a Senior iOS Developer to join our mobile engineering team. In
this role, you’ll play a key part in building and scaling Transcarent’s
next-generation health experience on iOS. You’ll collaborate with designers,
backend engineers, and product leaders to deliver secure, intuitive, and
high-performing mobile applications that transform how people engage with
healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the iOS platform using
Swift and SwiftUI.
- Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless,
responsive, and visually engaging user experiences.
- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through best
practices and modern architectures (e.g., MVVM, Combine).
- Integrate with backend APIs and healthcare data systems while maintaining
HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards.
- Mentor and support other developers through code reviews, technical
discussions, and documentation.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize
development efficiency and product impact.
- Contribute to improving our CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks,
and app release processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
- Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS frameworks (UIKit, Combine,
CoreData, etc.).
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with mobile architecture patterns, dependency injection, and
test-driven development (TDD).
- Familiarity with tools such as Xcode, Fastlane, Firebase, and Git.
- Experience building accessible, secure, and high-performance mobile apps at
scale.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Passion for improving healthcare through technology.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in healthcare, telemedicine, or digital health platforms.
- Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Prior experience working in a startup or fast-paced agile environment.
As a remote position, the salary range for this role is:
$100,000—$120,000 CAD

each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a
