Lakeland Co-op is currently seeking a Full-Time HEALTH & SAFETY CLERK for our Admin Department located at 6020-54 Avenue, Bonnyville, Alberta.

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Safety Clerk who is enthusiastic, has outstanding organizational skills, a high attention to detail, and delivers excellent service. The Safety Clerk will assist in the ongoing development and administration of the Health and Safety Management program and in general administrative support to senior leadership.
Reporting to the HR/Safety Manager, the Health & Safety Clerk will assist with:
Workplace inspections, investigations, and safety audits and plan site-specific implementation of COR initiatives
Monitoring safe work practices and procedures, hazard identification, policies/procedures, manuals, and forms throughout all locations
Maintaining records/logs of workplace accidents, hazards and near-misses
Coordinating and facilitating health and safety training for employees, maintaining training records, and ensuring safety permits are up to date
Presenting at Health and Safety committees and meetings
The employee onboarding process
WCB claims and Return to Work (RTW) programs
Creating/maintaining accurate files ensuring confidentiality at all times
Assist with benefits orientation for all staff and answer inquiries regarding benefits as needed
Travel to all Lakeland Co-op locations will be required. Company vehicle will be provided for work use.

Who you are:
We are seeking candidates with the following preferred qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar administration role; Safety experience an asset
Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent oral/written communication skills, and a high attention to detail
Highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, and the ability to work effectively under pressure with a positive attitude
Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented and striving to be the best at what you do

Must pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening and Criminal Record Check
