Program Assistant - Casual Core Function: Under the direction of the Program Manager/Program Coordinator, plans or participates in the planning of appropriate activities and providing high quality services to clients of the Day Program. Qualifications: Diploma in Social Work or Social Services, health sciences, activation, or equivalent Experience in geriatric rehabilitation is essential Excellent customer service skills Ability to work independently and contribute effectively as a team player Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite Recent certification in C.P.R. Recent satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen result Fluency in English and ability to converse in Chinese Must be able to work across different Yee Hong sites as needed Responsibilities: Under the overall direction of the Senior Coordinator/Program Coordinator, participates in the planning of appropriate activities for clients of the program Implements and ensures smooth operation of the activities in a safe, hygienic and supportive environment Provides timely and appropriate crisis intervention or behaviour management and ensures that the clients' physical, social and emotional needs are appropriately met Provides timely and appropriate support/information and referral/placement/outreach to clients/volunteers (as appropriate) to ensure that the clients/volunteers' social/ recreational/development needs are appropriately met Works closely with client and caregiver in ensuring appropriate design of care plan/program plan and ongoing monitoring of plan Ensures appropriate assessment, placement, matching and support for volunteers Provides effective guidance, training and support to the volunteers in the program Maintains up to date and accurate files, records and statistics on the program Maintains accurate record of fees and expenditures Complies with risk management policy for health and safety and infection control Keeps up-to-date with developments and best practices in the field Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Some lifting and transferring required Posting End Date: 2025-11-23 Starting Rate: $21.86 Salary Range: $21.86 - $25.72 INTERNAL APPLICANTS: PLEASE APPLY THROUGH THE JOBS HUB Our people are our greatest strength and the core of our success.
