Job Description What is the opportunity? Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Management and Analytics, the ideal candidate will support credit analytics, portfolio monitoring and regulatory reporting for Home Equity Finance portfolio across the credit value chain. This position specializes in insight-generation through in-depth portfolio analytics and monitoring. The incumbent identifies trends, builds narratives, and develops recommendations to enhance profitability, optimize credit and forecast loss. This role offers the opportunity to build on the following strengths: cross-enterprise mindset, understanding of consumer behaviour and RBC risk appetite, and adaptability to the dynamic credit environment. Depending on capability and experience, this role may have one direct report. What will you do? Support all monitoring reporting related activities, including governance and control, around HEF portfolio across the credit value chain. Develop dashboards that highlight portfolio performance across the credit value chain for increased awareness of senior leadership. Understand portfolio trends and develop actionable recommendations to manage credit performance, increase efficiency, drive profitability, and enhance client experience. Lead / execute deep dive analytics and provide early warning indicators to facilitate recommendations for underwriting and account management changes. Participate actively in the exchange of knowledge relating to products, data and analytical methodology. Promote and share best practices with teammates and champion a positive, trusting and satisfying work climate. Manage workflow, resolve conflicting priorities and negotiate deliverables with minimum supervision. Support GRM initiatives, analytics, and adhoc requests as required. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5+ years related data analytic experience with strong Python programing skill. Strong ownership and time management skill to deliver high quality output in prescribed timeline. Self-starter to proactively identify, analyze and execute enhancements in various processes, ranging from reporting infrastructure to business profitability enrichment. Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint with ability to be effective and equally conversant in business and technical environment. Ability to connect process, policy, system, and data, and estimate impact when any of the above changes. Nice-to-have Graduate degree in Engineering, Statistics or other quantitative field of study. Experience leveraging machine learning capabilities to generate insights from large dataset. Knowledge of SAS, Teradata and Tableau. Working knowledge of consumer credit products and retail credit risk. What’s in it for you?
