Dryden Fibre Canada is currently seeking a Plant Protection Officer to join the Dryden team. The city of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes. As a member of the Plant Protection team, you are responsible for site access security, first aid and emergency response for the Mill, as well as associated administrative duties. This position requires those in the role to work twelve hour rotating shifts. As our ideal candidate your qualifications include: You have a safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures. Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and time management skills with demonstrated attention to detail. Strong computer skills including experience with Excel and Word. A class G driver’s license is required. Must hold or must be willing and able to obtain the following: A valid Ontario Private Security Guard License, issued by the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. A valid St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid certificate or its equivalent; and a CPR/AED certificate.
