POSITION GOAL:
As part of Group Finance the Internal Controls Group supports the NFI Group in meeting organizational objectives through support of internal controls programs. Provide oversight for Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) by working with Management, Business Unit stakeholders, Internal and External Audit to ensure the program is designed and operating effectively. The team also provides support to business changes and strategic initiatives to ensure financial reporting risks are addressed through controls and process development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supporting standardization and improvement of the Internal Controls program across the group.
Maintenance of existing ICFR documentation – supporting Business Units to maintain RACMs and other ICFR documentation.
Tracking of open ICFR deficiencies and remediation efforts.
Supporting ITGC program across the group.
Completion of quarterly / annual reporting requirements – Disclosures Signoffs, RACM sign-offs, 52-109 Forms, 13-501 Forms
Maintaining Matrix of Authority (MOA) and monitoring program compliance.
Supporting Controls related projects and initiatives
Finance/accounting/audit background with CPA/CIA designation or plans to pursue preferred
CISA Certification or equivalent would be an asset.
Experience in internal control, audit or ITGC
Process, Controls and/or Policy documentation and implementation experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to create process flows and clear documentation
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Excellent interpersonal skills – change management
Strong Communication skills – both verbal and written – ability to clearly articulate ideas to wide audience
