What are your contributions to the team?
Be part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on reducing repetitive non-conformances during the Green and Interior aircraft build.
Participate in governance activities to monitor and drive the resolution of recurring non-conformance issues.
Identify patterns in non-conformances, determine root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions.
Prepare 4-blocker reports to support management reviews and decision-making.
Lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, quality, methods, and suppliers—to implement solutions and initiate the appropriate change processes.
Interface with suppliers to communicate and coordinate required changes.
Participate in design reviews and have good understanding and interpretation of industry and regulatory requirements.
Incorporation of Requests for Change (RFC) orders for temporary or permanent fixes.
Prepare engineering-related structural and systems installations, assembly and detail drawings.
Create & modify 3D & 2D Detail / Assembly / Installation data sets.
Work with the Electrical & Systems Engineers to ensure overall design and integration compatibility.
Work closely with the Section Chief to continuously develop skills of team members through coaching, employee training and development.
Provide technical direction to junior and intermediate design engineers to accomplish day to day tasks.
How to thrive in this role?
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering from a recognized university.
You have 10+ years of experience in airframe structural design (primary and secondary), including systems installations
You possess a solid understanding of Airframe configuration optimization, Loads and stress analysis, Materials and manufacturing processes, Tooling concepts and in-service structural requirements, Civil aircraft certification rules and procedures
You are proficient with CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of CATIA V4 is considered an asset.
You have basic electrical knowledge (an asset).
You demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
You are skilled at solving complex engineering problems under pressure and can work autonomously.
You communicate effectively in English and French (both written and spoken).
You bring strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and are a committed team player who collaborates well in a multidisciplinary environment.
You are results-driven, proactive, and possess sound judgment.
