Job Description: The Program Development Educator (PDE) is assigned responsibilities for rural facilities and community based services. The PDE will work with leaders and educators within the SHA to provide education services consistent with overall program direction under the direction of the Primary Health Care(PHC) Manager. The PDE integrates knowledge and skill of the models of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered-care for a defined group of clients. Will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote delivery of client-centered care through education programming. Collaborating with the PHC Director and PHC Managers, the PDE will assess learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. Use a consultative approach and research to provide support to care staff and managers. Responsibilities related to electronic health record systems, specialized client needs and clinical knowledge.

Experience
Experience with planning, implementation, quality monitoring and evaluation.
Three (3) years experience in the specific clinical area
Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
Comparable degree in education/adult learning may be considered.
