About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to lead the testing, configuration, and implementation of SDS2 within our detailing and production workflows. This role will be instrumental in setting up our SDS2 environment, establishing standards, and ensuring successful integration with our production systems.
Following a successful implementation phase, this position could transition into a leadership role with our SDS2 detailing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Detail a sample structural steel project in SDS2 to evaluate workflow efficiency and software performance.
Configure and manage User Defined Attributes (UDAs) to align with company and project requirements.
Collaborate with the VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) team to ensure seamless data exchange between SDS2 and production management software.
Test and validate NC (Numerical Control) file compatibility with fabrication and shop equipment.
Develop and document workflow standards and best practices for future SDS2 projects.
Provide training, guidance, and support to other detailers as the SDS2 team grows.

Position Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience using SDS2 for structural steel detailing.
Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, connection detailing, and industry standards.
Experience with NC file generation and CNC fabrication processes.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership potential.
Ability to work collaboratively in an office setting with engineering, production, and VDC teams.
