Job Description
In Eataly’s 24-hour operating bakery, a Bread Baker is responsible for producing delicious bread and focaccia in accordance with our authentic Italian recipes. Reports to the Bakery Manager.
Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service.
Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules.
Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed.
Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards.
Works towards mastering all stages of overnight bakery and pizza production.
Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts.
Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position
Basic math and measuring skills
Good work ethic, communication and time management skills
Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred
Job Requirements
Availability to work onsite with an flexible schedule including overnights, evenings and weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
