Job Type: Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Cloud Infrastructure Analyst to join our IT Infrastructure team in Calgary. This role is pivotal in architecting, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade cloud solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and AWS platforms. The ideal candidate is a cloud thought leader, a technical authority, and a mentor who can drive innovation, influence cloud strategy, and champion best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities Cloud Architecture & Strategy Evaluate the design and governance of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Define and evolve cloud adoption frameworks, architecture, and operational models to support business transformation initiatives. Conduct cloud maturity assessments, gap analyses, and develop roadmaps to advance cloud capabilities across the organization. Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and trends, providing strategic recommendations to leadership. Cloud Engineering & Optimization Architect and implement highly available, resilient, and automated cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices. Drive cloud cost management initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and optimization strategies. Lead cloud migration projects, including re-platforming and re-architecting legacy systems for cloud-native environments. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards through proactive risk assessments and controls implementation. Leadership & Mentorship Act as a technical mentor and coach to junior and intermediate team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and cloud enablement programs for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed cloud best practices into development, operations, and governance processes. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Partners with technology teams, security teams, and business groups to align cloud solutions with organizational goals. Serve as a trusted advisor to project teams, providing expert guidance on cloud architecture, integration, and deployment strategies. Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless delivery and support of cloud-based services. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and engineering roles. Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS. Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation. Demonstrated ability to lead complex cloud initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Certifications Microsoft Azure Certified AWS Certified Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications (an asset).
