Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as
set forth by the Radiologists.
- Must have working knowledge of all US equipment and ensure all units are
functioning correctly.
- Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of
the Ultrasound area, with particular attention to infection control.
- Instructs patients on examination requested.
- Maintains quality control in performance of all procedures.
- Assist Radiologist or fellow staff members.
- Responsible for general patient care and safety.

Skills:
- Possess working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment and ensure all units
are functioning correctly.
- Handle difficult situations in a sensitive and proactive manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills
Qualifications:
- Graduate from accredited Sonography program.
- Credentialed in General Sonography and/or Echocardiography is required.
- Credentialed with Sonography Canada is preferred.
- Maintenance of continuing education credits as per Sonography Canada.
- CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
