What can you expect?
The Marketing Project Coordinator is responsible for a variety of administrative and support tasks for the Marketing, Communications, and Events department. This position is responsible for supervising the creative request inbox, creative and branding for Sunshine branded assets at the resort and in market, and Marketing Calendar. In addition, this position will also be responsible for Event administration and third-party account administration.
This position is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of the daily tasks and projects of other staff involved in creative requirements. This position reports to the Communications and Events Supervisor, and under the guidance of other senior personnel in Sales and Marketing.

Oversee the day-to-day operations in the Calgary office for the communications team. Assign and coordinate daily tasks and creative projects from the Creative Request inbox, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and comply with company brand standards.
Working closely with the FAM & Events on-mountain team to plan and execute mountain events, as well as photo and video shoots. Event planning and third-party account administration will include, but not limited to:
Invoicing / collecting payment
Event planning
Connecting with on mountain operations for execution of projects
Creative and branding for Sunshine branded merch. Collaborating with the retail team to coordinate and approve new branded merchandise. Meeting ordering deadlines and assisting with the estore roll out of products.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:
Supervise incoming Creative Requests and ensure completion by the communications and media team on time and to company brand standard
Track incoming creative requests from other departments at Sunshine Village ranging from Website changes, Graphic Design work, Email and Print Campaigns and more
Keep Sales & Marketing Calendar up to date, communicate weekly with the sales and marketing team to share what’s happening at Banff Sunshine
Suggest and execute creative request strategies, and work closely with the digital specialist and content creator
Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete tasks on time and on budget
Work with the Sales & Marketing department on various campaigns throughout the season.
Working with third-party contractors and vendors
Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor and Brand & Communications VP
Keep up to date on all Sunshine Village and industry news
Other duties may be requested and assigned.

Strong organization and interpersonal communication skills is a must
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability and enthusiasm to adapt and expand technology skills to changing industry demands.
Exhibit the ability to turn around quality work under aggressive deadlines, as well as influence and drive for visual and functional excellence.
Ability to self-start, and manage daily workload with competence
Effectiveness at cross-team collaboration, including working with development and creative teams
Must always maintain professional conduct when in uniform, and when acting as a company representative.
Outgoing, positive, social, and friendly attitude.
Good time management skills, calm under pressure, and patient.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs (SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is required, along with the ability to adapt quickly to new programs and procedures.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (evenings, weekends, holidays).
Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training.
Must be neat, punctual and dependable.
Additional considerations:
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
This position will require overnight stays at the mountain while hosting tours. In addition, this role may work at night, and will be in a remote, alpine environment.
This is a full-time, year round role based in Calgary. Occasional travel to Banff required.
This role operates company fleet vehicles.
This position may at times deal with sensitive, personal information and confidentiality must be adhered to.
Skiing or snowboarding equipment used for work must be in good operating condition, meet Sunshine Village Equipment requirements, and will be tested throughout the season.
Required uniform pieces (liner, jacket, pants, toque) are provided. Employee must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook and Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
