This is a fantastic opportunity be a part of the future of agriculture by supporting the Service Department’s operations. In this role you will administer the warranty claim process and provide consultation and training to Service and Parts Departments on warranty matters. You will deliver quality work in one of Canada’s top John Deere dealer organizations through positive interactions in a friendly and collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth.
Responsibilities:
Process John Deere (JD)and Shortline manufacturer warranty claims and letters and reporting
Provide consultation and training to service/parts departments on all warranty matters including new hire onboarding
Provide quotes for the sales team and back up for Service Writers as needed
Assist with customer/internal repair order processing and customer database maintenance
Work with locations to ensure warranty claims are maximized for return
Maintain tracking spreadsheet and follow up on claims as needed
Work with Corporate Warranty Administrator to monitor Product Improvement Programs for JD and Shortline manufacturers
Regular communication with management on warranty status
Maintain positive customer/co-worker relationships
Requirements
4+ years experience with Service Department operations
Understands service software, JD and Shortline warranty systems
Experience with computer operating systems including Service Delivery, Equip, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
General understanding of mechanical terms preferred
Experience creating, analyzing and interpreting internal reports
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read, write, and speak effectively with customers/employees
Basic knowledge of accounting practices
Ability to work flexible hours, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays if needed
Ability to travel to dealership locations as needed (valid driver’s license)
