Position: Regional Vice President
Location: Hybrid (Located in Edmonton, GTA or Winnipeg)

Your area of focus.
As Regional Vice President you will have the opportunity to shape strategy, lead
complex operations, and drive growth across diverse markets and brands. You will
be accountable for driving overall dealership performance across the Region,
leading General Managers and store teams, executing corporate programs, and
ensuring alignment with business objectives. Reporting directly to the
President, this role is focused on delivering strong financial results,
operational efficiency, and strategic growth.
What drives your day-to-day?
- Lead dealership operations across multiple markets and provinces, driving
alignment with corporate objectives and financial performance across diverse
OEM partners.
- Steer regional sales performance while optimizing operational efficiency and
cost management across all stores to maintain profitability and enable
reinvestment in strategic initiatives.
- Develop and roll out strategies that support business growth, sales
execution, and brand consistency. These strategies may need to be tailored to
the unique needs of a market within the region, as well as OEM brands.
- Build and maintain strong OEM partnerships, align on requirements, and lead
strategic initiatives to achieve OEM scorecard targets through effective
operations and team management.
- Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) for regional teams,
ensuring consistent tracking and achievement of sales targets.
- Accountable for identifying and addressing underperforming stores, including
deploying additional resources and implementing targeted strategies to drive
operational and financial improvement.
- Lead change management initiatives and guide team members through
transformational shifts, fostering adoption of the new business model and
ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Benchmark regional performance against industry standards and identify
opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer
requirements in all regional activities.
- Provide leadership across the market teams which include Variable Operations,
HRBPs, Fixed Operations and a Chief Controller, to ensure consistency,
transparency and performance.
- Partner with Home Office shared service business functions, including
Marketing, People & Culture, IT, Legal, etc., to align strategies and achieve
regional objectives.
- Hire, develop, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of
accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify internal talent and develop a strong leadership bench and succession
planning for key leadership roles to ensure long-term organizational
continuity, as well as ready resources for acquisition growth.
- Contribute to organizational strategy by providing insights on regional
market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Lead business planning and budgeting for regional operations, ensuring
alignment with financial targets and operational goals.
WHAT ARE THE MUST HAVES…
- Extensive Leadership Experience: Minimum 15 years in progressive leadership
roles, including 5+ years at the senior executive level within automotive
retail, OEM or multi-location (15+ stores) business operations.
- Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of dealership operations, including
sales, F&I, fixed operations, and financial performance drivers.
- Influential Communicator and Leader: Exceptional communication (oral and
written) and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
teams. Ability to foster alignment and influence outcomes in a complex
organizational structure.
- Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated success in developing and executing regional
strategies that drive profitability, efficiency, and growth.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience creating and maintaining strong
partnerships across diverse teams and collaborating with shared service
functions such as HR, Marketing, IT, and Legal.
- Program Execution: Skilled and disciplined in rolling out corporate
initiatives across varied operational environments while maintaining brand
consistency and performance standards.
- Analytical and Results-Oriented: Strong analytical capabilities with a focus
on KPIs, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
- Merger and Acquisitions Experience: Demonstrated involvement in mergers and
acquisitions, including supporting the integration of newly acquired stores
into the existing ecosystem through operational alignment and cultural
onboarding.
- Education: Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or related field;
equivalent experience will be considered.
