Summary of the Role
As Leader, Commercial Solutions, you will sit at the center of AFSC’s digital transformation, leading the modernization of the organization’s client-facing platforms across insurance, lending, AgriStability, and AFSC Connect. You will guide strategic, technical, and operational decisions that ensure AFSC’s systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and designed with the client in mind. This role shapes both technology performance and the front-end client experience, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration across the enterprise. Ultimately, you will help empower Alberta’s producers by driving the digital foundation that supports their resilience, growth, and long-term success.

What Will You Be Responsible For?
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for AFSC’s Commercial Solutions portfolio, including Crop, Wildlife, Livestock, Adjusting, AgriStability, Lending, and AFSC Connect.
Translate AFSC’s enterprise digital strategy into actionable plans, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
Oversee lifecycle planning, modernization, and integration of key business applications.
Ensure system security, stability, and a seamless digital experience for AFSC clients.
Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and workforce planning with transparency and financial discipline.
Lead and develop a highly collaborative, innovative team grounded in accountability and inclusion.
Foster deep partnership across technology and business units to ensure digital initiatives deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Proven experience leading enterprise technology portfolios and cross-functional teams.
Experience with complex modernization, integration, and lifecycle planning.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and governance frameworks.
Experience in financial services, insurance, CRM, or lending environments; familiarity with Salesforce or nCino is an asset.
