We are looking for a procurement buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for Best Buy Canada’s Non-IT, not-for-resale goods and services. In this role, you will handle purchasing, negotiating, and building strong relationships with suppliers to support the needs of our business. This is a 7-month fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave. The successful candidate is needed to be located within the Lower Mainland, BC, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes. What you’ll do: Responsible for creating purchase orders based on specifications and requisitions from stakeholders, managing ordering systems (Oracle Purchasing, myStore, supplier portals), and ensuring timely delivery Act as a key point of contact with suppliers to resolve any order-related issues or deficiencies quickly and efficiently Collaborate with internal teams to identify procurement needs, validate requirements, and recommend suitable suppliers Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, specifications, and service Lead and implement cost-saving initiatives and support continuous improvement in procurement processes Coordinate product deliveries with logistics partners and resolve supply chain issues to ensure smooth operations What we’re looking for: 3-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills (intermediate level) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail Strong customer service skills, effectively supporting both internal and external stakeholders Bachelor’s degree and a purchasing designation (SCMP) or equivalent Why you’ll love it here: Remote-first work environment Employee discounts on awesome tech from day one Flexible health benefits and wellness program Training programs to build new and transferable skills About Best Buy As Canada's destination for the coolest tech, Best Buy offers one of the best work environments in the country!
