This position is located in our Head Office location in Melville, Saskatchewan. Consideration may be given to hybrid work arrangements within Saskatchewan. If approved for hybrid work, you will be required to work in the office at least three days per week. This includes attending onsite divisional meetings, training sessions, employee engagement and team collaboration activities, as well as corporate meetings and events.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Solutions, this position is responsible for the strategic direction, operational delivery, and continuous improvement of SCIC’s Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
What you'll do:
Product Management
Define and communicate the ERP product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with SCIC’s goals.
Prioritize customer feedback and manage the product backlog based on business impact and feasibility.
Conduct market research to identify trends and innovations that enhance ERP capabilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable roadmap features.
Lead ERP release planning and execution, ensuring alignment with Oracle’s roadmap and SCIC objectives.
Report on roadmap progress, milestones, and business value delivered.
Service Delivery
Ensure ERP services meet quality standards, service levels, and user expectations.
Act as liaison between business units, IT, and vendors throughout the service lifecycle.
Oversee incident, problem and change management, environment stability, and access controls.
Monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.
Coordinate annual disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning.
Vendor & Financial Management
Manage relationships with Oracle and third-party vendors, ensuring contract compliance and performance.
Responsible for ERP product budget, licensing, and vendor contracts and to provide quarterly reporting including variance to budget and forecasting.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize technology investments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Agriculture, Engineering, or related field with five years’ experience as a product manager, or in a product management related role.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience implementing or managing ERP solutions (Oracle, SAP, etc).
Experience with product and project management tools and issue-tracking systems (e.g., AzureDevOps, Jira, ServiceNow). Product Manager or Project Manager certifications an asset.
Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your rationale in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change and deliver results.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaboration skills to work with technical teams, business leaders, and vendors.
Knowledge of SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data governance, and compliance standards.
