Your place in our story
As Manager, External Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and communicating our financial story. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality stakeholder communications, including flash reports, IFRS-compliant financial statements, and insightful analysis and commentary. Your work will ensure stakeholders have a clear and accurate understanding of our operational and financial performance.
Here’s how you’ll contribute
Support the external reporting function by:
Lead coordination between operating and asset teams and the reporting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Review reporting inputs from various teams for accuracy and consistency, with a deep understanding of operational, development, debt, and capital activities.
Oversee the consolidation process, ensuring accuracy of journal entries and supporting schedules.
Review financial statements and note disclosures prepared for partners and investors.
Develop clear, concise, and highly accurate reporting communications tailored to a range of stakeholders.
Assess and determine appropriate accounting treatments for complex transactions and issues.
Collaborate with a variety of teams to continuously improve processes and adopt technologies that enhance efficiency.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to support the development of the reporting team.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality financial statements, analysis, and communications.
Manage competing priorities and meet internal and external deadlines through strong organizational and time management skills.
Coordinate and manage the external audit process with auditors.

Education: A professional accounting designation (CPA) is required
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of progressive technical accounting experience, with a strong focus on applying and analyzing accounting standards.
Experience in both public practice and within real estate companies is highly desirable.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team of professionals.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex, multi-dimensional issues and develop effective recommendations.
Deep knowledge of IFRS, with a demonstrated ability to apply standards and regulatory requirements to financial documents and technical memos.
Ability to work independently while effectively leading and supporting a team.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—paired with strong interpersonal abilities.
Highly organized, with a structured approach to managing information and responding quickly to requests.
Solid understanding of ERP and consolidation systems; experience with OneStream and/or Yardi is considered an asset.
