Reporting to the Manager of Inuit Employment Initiatives, the Career Planning Specialist is responsible for providing information and guidance regarding choices for employment, training and career directions and support in pursuing these directions. The position improves the relevance of HR and departmental programming and the investment of managerial time in on- the- job development as more Inuit are focused and take ownership of their career development. It also contributes to a more stable public service with an in-depth knowledge of Nunavut’s population and Inuit culture.
