ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated Student to join our FNBC on a 4-month term for the Indigenous Student Internship Program. This position will support day-to-day operations within Head Office while gaining hands-on experience in a professional banking environment. This role is designed to help students apply classroom learning in a real-world setting, develop workplace skills, and explore potential career paths in financial services. The student will assist with administrative tasks, data entry, and team projects under the guidance of experienced staff in various departments. This is a learning-focused opportunity that encourages growth, curiosity, and teamwork. This term opportunity is based out of our Head Office in Saskatoon SK, which is located on First Nations land.
HERE'S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide administrative and operational support to Head Office staff.
- Assist with data entry, document management.
- Support team members with project coordination and research activities.
- Respond to internal and external client inquiries under supervision.
- Help ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental needs.
- Prepare and distribute branch and office supplies from inventory.
- Maintain head office supplies, including kitchen.
- Maintain, order and ship branch supplies, such as ATM supplies.
- Schedule and organize meetings as requested by FNB Trust and other Executive members, including prepare participant packages, order catering, book facilities.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries on behalf of the website general inquiries as well as the main phone inquiry line.
- Prepare and sort daily mail incoming and outgoing for all head office staff.
- Liaise with Bank vendors, building manager to ensure business needs are met.
ABOUT YOU
You are a motivated, energetic individual who demonstrates a high level of initiative and eagerness to learn.
You must:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field at the University of Saskatchewan
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
