Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill a Data Center
Materials Associate (DCMA) position at our IT Warehouse in Vancouver working
Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm (subject to change). The IT Warehouse supports
corporate IT Offices across Canada, providing either direct asset replenishment
or procedural support. The successful DCMA will be responsible for providing
assistance to the operations team by packing shipments, maintaining IT
inventory, supporting receive, induct, pick, and audits of assets assigned to
the IT department, in addition to maintaining general standardized housekeeping

Responsibilities include:
• Working in-person in a warehouse 5 days a week
• Receiving and storing IT assets and peripherals
• Picking IT assets in preparation for configuration and deployment
• Packing customer shipments for direct to customer and office shipments
• Preparation of IT assets for transportation in line with IT and InfoSec
polices
• Safe handling and destruction of IT media in accordance with InfoSec policy
• Appropriate management of returned IT assets in accordance with compute reuse
processes, reverse logistics processes, or disposal processes
• Preparation of all new hire equipment and supporting campus IT staff at new
hire orientation
• Assist other teams in the tear down and removal of IT assets from staff who
have left the organization, and transporting these assets in accordance with
InfoSec policy
Requirements:
• Detail oriented - able to consistently work with shipment accuracy in mind
while minimizing errors
• Work Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm (subject to change)
• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours at a time
• Must be able to bend and lift equipment up to 49 lbs throughout the shift
• Ability to work overtime as required
Key job responsibilities
• Receive, store, and track IT assets (laptops, peripherals, accessories) with
high accuracy, ensuring all items are logged and handled according to internal
IT and InfoSec policies.
• Pick, stage, and prepare IT equipment for configuration, deployment, and
shipment, ensuring hardware is ready for new hires, office replenishments, and
customer-facing needs.
• Pack and process shipments for internal offices and direct-to-customer
deliveries, maintaining accuracy, quality, and safe transport standards.
• Support warehouse operations including receiving, inducting, inventory audits,
cycle counts, and general asset management.
• Handle, store, and destroy IT media (e.g., drives) in compliance with InfoSec
and data-handling procedures.
• Manage returned IT assets through compute reuse, reverse logistics, or
disposal workflows, ensuring correct categorization and documentation.
• Assist campus IT staff by preparing new-hire equipment and supporting
onboarding logistics.
• Support hardware decommissioning by assisting with tear-downs, asset retrieval
from departing staff, and secure transport of equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant warehouse and IT storage areas,
following standardized housekeeping practices.
• Adapt to shifting operational priorities, balancing corporate IT needs with
warehouse workflow demands and taking initiative to switch tasks without direct
prompting. Basic Qualifications: - High school or equivalent diploma
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take
direction in English
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- Work 10 hour shifts as needed
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and
coordination with Manager
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and
frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach, all with or without reasonable
accommodation Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of computer hardware
components and operating systems
- Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing
environment

The base salary for this position ranges from $49,400/year up to $59,300/year.
Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of
compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
