Temporary Part-time position for Fanshawe College students (January 2026 - April 2026)
Up to 20 hours per week
This opportunity is supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which is designed to provide work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post diploma students with a demonstrated financial need.

•International Students at Fanshawe College must be registered as a full-time student, and have a valid study permit and Social Insurance Number
•Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements.
If approved, the Work Study Employment Program will help Fanshawe Student Union financially to employ students over the fall/winter term.
Summary
The Junior Advertising Representative (Work Study) supports the FSU Student Engagement team by managing advertising sales and client relationships across various student media platforms, including print and digital. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented student with strong communication skills and a passion for sales and marketing.
This is a part-time Work Study position open to full-time Fanshawe College students approved for the Work Study program.
Job Duties
Sell and retain advertisements for the student handbook, Interrobang newspaper, online platforms, and special publications.
Identify and contact potential clients using cold-calling and outreach strategies.
Maintain and grow a portfolio of advertising clients.
Build and sustain strong relationships with customers.
Obtain and manage advertising contracts as needed.
Proofread and ensure accuracy of advertisements; communicate with clients to confirm final content.
Meet or exceed sales targets within established deadlines.
Maintain accurate records, including paper files and digital sales spreadsheets.
Support general office tasks and assist with departmental goals as assigned.
Requirements
Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous experience in sales or customer service preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to think critically and provide creative solutions.
Social perceptiveness and adaptability to client needs and personalities.
Attention to detail and experience with proofreading.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office software.
Reliable attendance and time management.
