What you can expect when joining the team
Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, you will work closely with the company’s finance leadership team to support our growth mission and ensure the quality and consistency of financial information in a multi-entity environment. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for professional development, with a clear path toward higher-level leadership positions.
A day in the life
In your day to day, you will be led to:
Manage short- and long-term cash flow needs (cash inflows and outflows);
Contribute to the transformation of financial operations to support organizational growth;
Participate in budget preparation, budget monitoring, and forecast tracking;
Oversee the implementation of various financial processes in collaboration with other department members;
Organize, plan, and supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual processes related to financial statement production and year-end audit;
Supervise day-to-day accounting for payables, receivables, and payroll cycles, and drive improvements to those cycles;
Review complex accounting transactions;
Prepare or review various reports related to government compliance;
Participate in financing and acquisition files;
Participate in and oversee the integration of financial operations for acquired companies;
Prepare and submit grant applications;
Prepare the required data for tax credit claims (R&D, CDAE);
Create, oversee, and maintain internal control systems;
Perform ad-hoc analyses based on operational needs;
Collaborate with other departments as part of daily operations;
Manage and grow your team by demonstrating a participative leadership style.
Your profile
Are you a finance professional known for your attention to detail and passion for continuous process improvement? Are you looking for a role that matches your ambition and expertise? A bachelor’s degree in accounting and a recognized professional designation (CPA auditor preferred);
10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a private company;
In-depth knowledge of IFRS accounting standards;
Experience working in a multi-currency and multi-entity environment;
Experience managing an accounting team;
Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
Excellent organizational skills and proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously;
Advanced bilingual proficiency in English and French;
Openness to change and strong adaptability.
