About the role We’re looking for a Legal Billing Auditor to join our growing team in the Litigation Management Department. As a Legal Billing Auditor, you will be joining a collaborative team in the Litigation Management Department, reviewing invoices submitted by our external legal partners, managing budgets, as well as monitoring and collecting data related to legal expense. Your ability to investigate, critically analyze and make sound decisions will come in to play, as you review legal invoices to ensure compliance with our contracts. What You’ll Do Here: Review, analyze, and audit invoices submitted by our external legal partners to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and billing guidelines. Research activities conducted on claims and reach out to claims handlers when needed to help you with your analysis. Work closely with our Litigation Management Team to ensure accurate and timely payments in compliance with Intact’s service level agreements. Identify billing patterns and other factors or trends relevant to Intact’s Litigation Management goals and proactively escalate issues and report insights, with recommendations. Monitor and manage budgets in harmony with our partners in claims. Participate in the growth and goals of the Litigation Management Department. What You Bring to the Table: At least 3 years' experience working in a legal environment Understanding of civil litigation processes and procedure College Diploma or University Degree in an area of study associated with law Analytical skills, with an eye for detail and critical thinking skills Ease with adapting to change in order to meet our business objectives Eagerness to learn and ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and take initiative What we offer Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.
