We are currently looking for a Team Lead - Recreation to join our team of committed professionals. This Part-Time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’s Chippewa location in North Bay.
Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Recreational Programming & Community Engagement, the Team Lead - Recreation is responsible for supporting the planning and development of programs and services according to YMCA policies, procedures, and standards and ensuring participant satisfaction.
START DATE: Monday, December 8th
LOCATION: North Bay
RATE OF PAY: $ 19.23
HOURS: 10-20 Hours
Major Responsibilities
Provide leadership to staff and families during the program delivery schedule
Support the coordination and scheduling of activities, programs and special events
Respond to inquiries regarding programs promptly
Be a positive role model for all program participants and staff
Provide leadership in staff onboarding, including orientation, training, and mentorship
Ensure that all Association safety standards are met or exceeded
Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner including attendance sheets & sign in/out
Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization
Qualifications
Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) *for education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES with their application
Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
Bilingualism in both official languages an asset
Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
