The Opportunity:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Deli Manager at our Lorette Food Store located at 11 Laramee Drive, in Lorette, MB. This position reports to the Store Manager. The Deli Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of deli department operations within the store.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.
Coordinate all tasks in a busy, multi-faceted deli operation.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
A minimum of 2 years of retail management experience, or non-management retail experience performing at a high level (department assistant manager or higher).
Sound knowledge of department financial operations
Ability to motivate staff to achieve strong operating results

The salary band for this position has a minimum salary of $50,350 and a maximum salary of $75,525. Candidate placement within the band will vary depending on individual qualifications (skills, experience, and education) and organizational needs, as well as market conditions. This role is eligible for Red River Co-operative’s Short Term Incentive Plan.
