This role involves coordinating with internal teams, lenders, and clients to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Responsibilities: Regulatory Oversight & Compliance Ensure the brokerage, its brokers, and agents comply with MBLAA, FSRA guidance, and applicable laws Monitor suitability of mortgage transactions as per O. Reg. 188/08 s. 24(1) Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures for compliance, anti-fraud measures, and client disclosures File all required documentation with FSRA (e.g., Annual Information Returns, licensing renewals) Ensure all advertisements, social media, and marketing are compliant with FSRA rules Provide all required disclosures (e.g., Disclosure Form 1, Broker/Lender Disclosure) Comply with MBLAA, FSRA guidance, anti-fraud measures, and privacy legislation Maintain accurate records of all mortgage transactions and client communications Maintain all records in accordance with FSRA retention requirements (typically 6 years) Liaise with FSRA during audits, inspections, or investigations Regulatory Requirements: Maintain active FSRA license and errors & omissions insurance Submit annual renewals and declarations as required by FSRA Adhere to the Code of Conduct and ethical standards in dealing with clients and lenders General Administrative Support Support other team members with administrative tasks as needed Book travel and complete monthly expense reports as required by team members Assist with arranging and supporting Corporate/Team events as required Experience and Qualifications: Licensed as a Mortgage Agent with FSRA an asset At least 3 years’ experience as a Mortgage Administrator with relevant experience working in a Mortgage Brokerage.
