Job Description What is the Opportunity RBC Technology Infrastructure (TI) is executing one of the most ambitious transformation agendas in the bank’s history - modernizing platforms, automating operations, and building the foundation for the Bank of Tomorrow. To turn TI’s strategy into reality, we’re establishing the Infrastructure Delivery Team within the TI Strategic Planning & Execution function. As a Director, IT Initiative Delivery, you will partner directly with senior leaders to drive execution across TI’s most critical strategic initiatives. You will serve as both a strategic advisor and delivery leader, ensuring each initiative is structured, on track, and delivering tangible business value. You will also operate as a thought partner to initiative sponsors and leads, helping shape decisions, anticipate risks, and ensure disciplined, transparent delivery. You will be accountable for managing multiple transformational initiatives and will form part of a high-performing team that provides visibility, alignment, and execution rigor across the entire transformation portfolio. What will you do? Lead end-to-end delivery oversight of transformation initiatives, ensuring structured planning, disciplined execution, and transparent tracking of milestones and benefits Drive disciplined execution and accountability for timelines, outcomes, and benefits, while proactively identifying risks, interdependencies, and delivery bottlenecks, escalating as needed to ensure results Facilitate regular progress reviews and executive updates, partnering with sponsors and leads to enable informed, timely decision-making Synthesize complex information into decision-ready materials for TI leadership, translating strategy into actionable, measurable plans Act as a thought partner to shape execution approaches, championing innovation and continuous improvement while aligning delivery with business strategy and enterprise objectives Identify synergies and resolve conflicts across initiatives, delivering creative, structured solutions to operational and organizational challenges Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks, while fostering strong, trusted relationships across Technology Infrastructure, Technology & Operations, and business partners Enable clear communication, alignment, and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups, promoting a culture of ownership, inclusion, and outcome-driven delivery in line with RBC values What do you need to succeed? Must have: 8+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation or execution programs within complex organizations Advanced understanding of program and portfolio governance (financials, benefits, risks) Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence VP-level stakeholders Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity Proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes across multiple initiatives Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity, lead through influence, and drive accountability without direct authority Ability to quantify, track, and communicate value delivered across financial and non-financial measures Experience in technology, infrastructure, or enterprise-scale modernization programs Nice to have: MBA or equivalent advanced degree is considered an asset Experience from a top-tier management consulting or transformation firm Experience applying agile principles and iterative delivery practices (sprint planning, backlog prioritization, value tracking) in enterprise environments What’s in it for you?
