Reporting to the National Business Manager, the Account Manager – Coles plays an important and varied role in the customer team buying relationships and has a responsibility to ensure the customer’s agenda is represented within The Arnott’s Group (TAG). To facilitate this, the person must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with Coles which provide benefits for both businesses via collaboration and execution of mutually agreed strategic priorities.
This role has responsibility for our Biscuits portfolios within our Coles partnership, managing $470m retail sales value per year. This role holds leadership and development accountability within the Coles Customer Team, and the extended Sales and Marketing teams.
What your day looks like:
To develop and implement category/promotional plans, and play a role in the category review process
Implementation of the agreed promotional strategy within P&L guardrails including trade spend rates, sales growth targets and market share ambition
Full responsibility for loading and maintaining all promotional activity in Tellus
Owning alignment sessions with Demand Planning and Finance to ensure all financial projections are aligned and accurately reflected in systems
Working with Coles to ensure the promotional program is being maximised via optimum phasing, G/End execution and catalogue support. Understanding the Coles P&L and accurate projected performance
Reporting on account challenges, updates and forecasts to the wider stakeholders in formal process (IBP) and informal (team catch ups)
The Ingredients for Success:
Just like you can’t make a Tim Tam without chocolate, there are a few essential ingredients we need for this role;
Strong knowledge of profit and loss mechanics and how to maximise through mix
You must have experience in at least one of the following Quantium Checkout / Synergy / IRI / Nielsen with ability to tell a story based on data
Intermediate skills in Excel
Commercial experience within FMCG preferred
